Read: The Story of Michael Bell

The ACT blog will feature “Read” posts which will always correspond to an article worth reading or an original post from one of our bloggists.

One of the main requirements of any article that we will share with you is that it has to come from the heart.

We believe stories from the heart are the only kind worth listening to …

The story of Michael Bell reminds us a lot of the story of Tristan Hill. Though he was not killed by the police, he had many negative encounters with them over the years even though he was quite a peaceful individual. He came from a white middle-class family, as well. Many people feel they are being treated more and more like a number not an individual. The black community feels it even worse because of institutionalized racism. Other communities feel it more as well like women, minorities and the LGBTQ. It pretty much seems that if you are not the one high up behind a desk making “important decisions” then you quite simply do not matter – but your money does.
